Movie Description
The story of three brave women who struggle against the domineering men in their lives and the oppressive system they represent, MRITYUDAND is both an examination of class conflict and a bold statement on behalf of equal rights. A young bride finds herself trapped in a loveless marriage to a brutish man, her sister-in-law is neglected by her own pious husband and finds comfort with an honest handyman, and a beautiful servant girl is forced into prostitution to pay off her debts. When the women rebel, they are sentenced to death--but they find unexpected reserves of unity and strength, and continue to fight for what they believe is right.
