Movie Description
Small-town "pixilated" poet and guileless good guy Longfellow Deeds inherits $20 million, and when he wants to use it to help the needy, various unsavory types try to get him declared insane. A pure Capra blend of drama, comedy and romance, based on "Opera Hat," a Saturday Evening Post story by Clarence Budington Kelland. Synopsis
When a rich eccentric decides to give away his money -- all $20 million of it -- no one believes he can possibly be sane. Soon he's facing a hearing to determine whether he's mentally competent. But the wealthy, wily man may just be the one who has his head screwed on right.
