Synopsis Written while Collins was still an undergrad, his debut novel features Nolan, a 1960s wild child, who is on the run after taunting a vicious youth gang called the Boys. During his travels throughout the inner and outer boroughs of Chicago, Nolan has his share of quirky--and sometimes dangerous--run-ins with mob-connected cops, groovy babes, and drug-dealing musicians. But the craziness really begins when Nolan is asked to investigate the death of a young woman who took a flying leap from a tall building while presumably on an LSD trip.
