Synopsis The characters in this novel live in Morningside Heights, an Upper West Side neighborhood near Columbia University. The Braithwaite family is confronted with having to leave their pricey and too-small apartment, while at the same time the entire community is stunned by the mysterious death of an elderly resident of the building.
