Synopsis
Ellen Starke survived the bombing that killed her mother--the head of Starke Enterprises, a big stick-wielding company that supported a project intended to ease the strain on Earth caused by the 15 billion-strong human population by colonizing the universe. Actually, only Ellen's head was salvaged; her corpus did not make it. Now as Starke Enterprises faces threats from developers who just want to build spacecondos, Ellen must hustle to get acclimated to her new torso and limbs. At the same time, problems brew between human clones and Pre-Singularity AIs. MIND OVER SHIP is David Marusek's sequel to his COUNTING HEADS, in which he laid the groundwork for this saga.
