Synopsis
A mysterious group of assailants dressed as monks and bearing the insignia of a dragon electrocute the worshippers at a midnight mass in the cathedral of Cologne and steal the cathedral's most sacred relics--the bones of the Magi Kings. Rachel Venora, an Italian policewoman specializing in the theft of art and archaeological artifacts, teams up with Agent Grayson Pierce of SIGMA Force, a covert U.S. organization of so-called "killer scientists" responsible for acquiring sensitive technologies, to recover the bones and confront the sinister secret society known as the Dragon Court. This thriller in the vein of Dan Brown's THE DA VINCI CODE launches a new series about SIGMA Force, the government agency first introduced in a previous James Rollins novel, SANDSTORM.
