Synopsis The middle volume of the compelling YA fantasy trilogy Magic or Madness picks up just after the previous installment left off. Fifteen-year-old Reason Cansino now knows that magic is real and she herself possesses great magical power. If she doesn’t use it, she’ll go insane like her mother, but if she does, she won’t live very long. She must also decide whether or not to trust her grandmother, Esmeralda, who Reason fears will attempt to take some of Reason’s magic in order to extend her own lifespan. Meanwhile, Reason and her two magically talented teenaged friends, Tom and Jay-Tee, must protect Esmeralda’s house from an attack by a mysterious force.
