Album Notes This was released in the summer of 1995 under the shorter title CLUB CUTZ, and "Macarena" was but one of 12 techno-dance favorites presciently collected on it. A year and 12 million line dances later, it became MACARENA CLUB CUTZ, with a How-To-Macarena fold-out chart inserted for good measure. This is, we should point out, the most popular of all versions of "Macarena"--the Bayside Boys mix of the Los Del Rio track. But MACARENA CLUB CUTZ isn't all about right-hand-out, left-hand-out, right-hand-behind-head, etc. There are also the layered harmonies of Layla's "Gotta Find Love," the vocal gymnastics of Scatman John's "Scatman (Ski-Ba-Bop-Ba-Dop-Bop)," and Hysterix's "Everything," a jam that has tipped more than one dance floor over the edge into total abandon. And for anyone who shakes their body to this music and is old enough to remember (c'mon, there's gotta be two or three of you out there), there's Chill's cover of the old Kiss single "I Was Made For Lovin' You."
