Movie Description Stylish and well-made drama about a Venetian peasant who plots to assassinate Mussolini. His plans are altered when he falls in love with a prostitute in the brothel which serves as his base of operation.
Synopsis Tunin, a peasant-anarchist, arrives in Rome with plans to assassinate Benito Mussolini. He resides in a lively bordello awaiting the day of the murderous deed. Tunin's political commitment fades as he enjoys the fruits of his surroundings and falls in love with one of the working girls. The thin line between the personal and the political is then tested for Tunin with disastrous results.
Film Notes Giancarlo Giannini won the best actor award at the 1973 Cannes Film Festival
