Jazz guitar legend Kenny Burrell has composed and assembled a masterpiece in LOVE IS THE ANSWER. Burrell's silky-smooth guitar stylings, along with his rhythm section of James Williams (piano), Ray Drummond (bass) and Ben Riley (drums), are joined by the musical strength and emotional power of the Boys Choir Of Harlem. This combination of a supreme vocal choir and a first-rate jazz ensemble, along with Burrell's astounding compositional prowess, creates a sound of epic beauty and soul-stirring emotional conviction. The disc's centerpiece is the multi-level work "Love Suite." The brilliant vocal and instrumental arrangements take the listener through many stylistic changes from bossa nova, ballads and swing to samba, funky soul, gospel and classical choral grandeur. All the while the choir beautifully delivers Burrell's message of love, peace and mankind's need to do away with petty disputes and work together towards true happiness. The shorter pieces that round out the disc include the breathtaking "Listen To The Dawn," the lightly swinging "Be Yourself," the anthemic "We Must Find A Way" and the Dixieland march of the cheerfully inspiring "I'm Gonna Do."
