A young woman convicted of robbery becomes pregnant while behind bars, and struggles to keep her child with her, even while in prison. This incredible story of love and determination was based on an actual event.
Synopsis
"Love Child" tells the true story of Terry Jean Moore. As a teenager Terry went to prison for 15 years for armed robbery. But after setting fire to her mattress, the rebellious and unruly Terry was transferred into a different correctional facility, with five years added to her sentence. At the new jail, Terry met Jack Hansen, a guard with whom she had an affair. When Terry became pregnant with Jack's child, she declared that is was her intention to have the baby in prison -- no matter how hard anyone tried to stop her.
