Industry Reviews Does the world need yet another book by a self-styled philosopher who shows a lack of originality in his choice of title? In the case of McWilliams (author of the best-selling Life 101, Prelude Pr., 1990, and last year's autobiography, Life 102, LJ 12/94), the answer is yes. The text, which describes the author's thoughts and methods on creating self-esteem, is quirky yet surprisingly interesting and readable. The chapter "What Have You Accomplished?" is particularly well done and effective. In signature style, McWilliams intersperses throughout a mix of wonderful and unusual quotations. Although Love 101 is not as profound as other works, such as Charles Spezzano's What To Do Between Birth and Death (LJ 9/1/92), it certainly has the potential to appeal to a wide range of readers. A good choice for all but the smallest public libraries. January Adams, ODSI Research Lib., Raritan, N.J. Merullo
