Industry Reviews
PreS-Gr 3-Dora is so excited about the beautiful brown eggs she has laid that she wants to tell her barnyard friends all about them. As she makes the rounds, however, she finds all of the animals playing with their own babies. She realizes that the youngsters are much lovelier than her plain eggs and heads home without bothering to share her news. There she finds that her eggs have hatched into fluffy yellow chicks. Then, Dora proudly parades around the farm followed by her little ones, and all of the other animals comment on their beauty. A sweet story with appealing illustrations that is perfect for reading aloud as well as for independent reading.-Alexandra Gomez, New York Public Library
