Synopsis A Spanish translation of the best-selling guide to relations between the sexes. Gray argues that men and women have very different perceptions, both of themselves and of those around them, as a result of gender. The author stresses that acknowledging these inherent differences greatly enhances our dealings with members of the opposite sex.

Industry Reviews Gray's thesis? That men (Martians) and women (Venusians) have to accept that they're impossibly distinct beasties before they can establish a workable intimacy. Once we get a handle on the Mars/Venus concept, Gray focuses his Hubble telescope on more nebulous theories, such as 'Men Are Like Rubber Bands' and 'Women Are Like Waves.' (Don't ask.) And in a couple of Ralph Kramden-like asides, Gray advises women to give their Martians plenty of stomping room or bang, zoom, they're going to the moon. 'When a man is in a negative state,' Gray suggests, 'treat him like a passing tornado and lie low.' And: 'Never go into a man's cave or you will be burned by the dragon!' Yikes. <BR>Annotation copyright H.W. Wilson Company. Voice Literary Supplement - Dwight Garner
