Album Notes Engineers: Steve Dub, Tim Holmes. Unlike techno EPs that gather several lengthy remixes of the same track, LOOPS OF FURY is like an old-fashioned EP. The definitive version of the title track (the Chemical Brothers' then-current single) is presented alongside two fine new songs and an appropriately radical remix of EXIT PLANET DUST's "Chemical Beats," from the Manchester duo's 1995 full-length debut. The title track is a loose, cinematic groove that touches on elements of film music drama and melodic strength. The girl-groupish "The Best Part of Breakin' Up" and the old-school funk of "Get Up on it Like This" pay tribute to two of Tom Rowlands and Edward Simons' other big influences. The result is a techno EP even suitable for those who don't like techno.
