Movie Description In this humorous British comedy from 1963, Dave Martin (David Hemmings) toils away in his tedious job as a postman. Clinging to the hope that his rock & roll band will one day make the charts, Martin is typical of the burgeoning 1960s youth movement that sought to revolutionize the music world. The hapless Martin loses his band's demo tape and also has to contend with his overbearing parents, but it's really the music that shines through here. With many of the songs composed by the legendary Joe Meek, the movie provides a great way to experience what the early days of rock & roll were all about.
