Both a tribute to and a proof of the clout of Florida hip-hop producers/moguls DJ Khaled and E-Class, 2009's LIVE FROM THE 305 collects the talents of a spread of Sunshine State players including Flo Rida and Jackie-O. While not ostensibly "live," like the best mixtapes, 305 captures the spirit of a bunch of friends trading off flows, bouncing from the street corner to the stage and back. Fitting for a Miami compilation, the collection leans towards the fast-paced, hard-pounding crunk for a high energy fest from some of the best in the Southern rap biz.
