Movie Description
Gambling man Trotter (Dreyfus) has promised his wife Pam (Teri Garr) that he's given up betting at the track. But when he gets a tip on a sure thing the following weekend, he's sure he can't lose. He wins on a fifty dollar bet, and turns his winnings into a full day of ups and downs with his buddy Looney (David 'Buster Poindexter' Johansen). Director Pytka was previously known as the man behind several successful beer commercials.
Synopsis
Like most small-time compulsive gamblers, cabbie Jay Trotter tends to lose whenever he bets. But that all changes when he puts his stakes on a horse and wins, marking the beginning of a streak that nets him thousands of dollars. In the process, Jay moves up from the beer-swigging set to the caviar crowd. Meanwhile, Jay's constant gambling is costing him his marriage. Will Jay and his wife reconcile? And what will happen to him when Lady Luck deserts him again?
