Friendship is central to these characters as they try to find their way in the fast lane on the fastest track of all - the disengaged, super affluent, young Beverly Hills lifestyle. LESS THAN ZERO is based on Bret Easton Ellis's novel of the same name and stars Andrew McCarthy, James Spader, Robert Downey Jr., and Jami Gertz.
Synopsis
Drama about the wealthy, nihilistic, and drug-using young adults of Los Angeles. Film focuses on dopehead Julian, straightlaced Clay, and Clay's girlfriend Blair, the latter two desperately trying to help Julian "clean up", but to no avail. In fact, Julian's problem becomes even worse, largely due to his sleazy, unsympathetic drug dealer.
