Leon Russell has held almost every esteemed position that there is to be held in the world of music. An acclaimed session pianist in the 1950s, Russell went on to learn the guitar and start his own group in the 1960s. In 1970, he founded a label (Shelter Records) and became a world-renowned songwriter and performer in his own right. This high-resolution, sonically thrilling DVD-Audio release finds Russell performing with some of his friends, who just happen to include rock legends George Harrison, Eric Clapton, Bill Wyman, Charlie Watts and Steve Winwood. Featuring the songs "I Put A Spell On You," "Give Peace A Chance," "Masters of War," and many others, LEON RUSSELL captures a preeminent figure in the prime of his life. (Note: the DVD-Audio release contains three special bonus tracks: "Jammin' With Eric," "Humming Bird (Alternate Mix)," and "Shoot Out the Plantation (Demo).")
