Synopsis
After a 20-year hiatus from the novel, controversial writer and pyrotechnic stylist Alexander Theroux returns with LAURA WARHOLIC. Told mostly from the point of view of Eugene Eyestones, an erudite and obsessive sex columnist for a Boston magazine, the novel revolves around the heroin chic and universally loathed Laura Warholic, the ex-wife of the magazine's editor. Eyestones is both repulsed and drawn to this train-wreck of a human being, and indeed his feelings might actually be a twisted kind of love.
