POBRE PERO HONRADA: POBRE, PERO HONRADA! is a Mexican comedy featuring La India María, in a story whose titles translates to "Poor But Honorable." La India María decides to become a witch doctor, and the comic trouble she causes in town, especially with the town doctor.
COYOTE EMPLUMADO: The outstanding comedian, "La India Maria," unknowingly ends up as a detective in Acapulco, pursued by smugglers of ancient artifacts.
NI DE AQUI NI DE ALLA: This Mexican comedy stars La India Maria, who drives the FBI crazy because they cannot figure out whether she belongs here or there.
LAS DELICIAS DEL PODER: Created by Spanish comedienne Maria Elena Velasco, the beloved "La Linda Maria" character is a hilarious take on the Mexican archetype of the uneducated rural peasant. Velasco reprises her trademark character for the farcical Mexican comedy LAS DELICIAS DEL PODER, in which La Linda Maria meets her long-lost twin sister, from who she was separated at birth. Raised by a privileged family, the estranged sister is now a rising politician making a successful mayoral run when she is felled by an accident and lapses into a coma. It isn't long before the politically clueless Maria is brought in to take her place, resulting in a PRINCE AND THE PAUPER-like tale of hidden identities and political hijinks. This Mexican satire is presented in Spanish without subtitles.
LA MADRECITA: LA MADRECITA is a Mexican comedy about a nun who encounters many humorous incidents in the course of running a religious convent that houses children who are orphans and dispossessed city dwellers.
