To tide fans over until the release of its third album, DO YOU LIKE ROCK MUSIC?, British Sea Power issued the KRANKENHAUS? EP in late 2007. This dynamic collection of post-punk-inspired tunes finds frontman Yan (aka Scott Wilkinson) pondering science amidst spiky guitar lines and punchy rhythms. "Straight Down the Line" features the U.K. quartet in a more subdued mode, and the eerie, dissonant "Hearing Aid" showcases BSP's experimental leanings. Proudly unpredictable, even over the course of five tracks, KRANKENHAUS? may not garner British Sea Power many new listeners, but it reinforces the Brighton-based group's venerated cult status.
