LIVE is a double-CD that was mixed in one night at the New York City club Arena by Junior Vasquez, who's been known for years as one of the hottest and most respected DJs on the dance music scene. Vasquez uses mixes from various well-known artists to create a moving, seamless compilation mix album. Among the artists that Vasquez drops into the mix are Joi Cardwell ("You Got to Pray"), Annie Lennox ("No More I Love You's"), and Cyndi Lauper ("Come on Home").
LIVE stands out from numerous other mix compilations because it bears the imprint of Vasquez's signature style of production and mixing throughout. This isn't just a thrown-together compilation but a vibrant blend of diverse material mixed together by one of the world's best. Some of the other tracks to check out are "House of Joy," by Vicki Sue Robinson, "If I Were You," from K.D. Lang, and "One By One," performed by Cher.
