Movie Description When a failing actor accidentally becomes a vigilante, he gets more screen time than the biggest Hollywood stars in this dark comic look at life in La La Land. Home video version contains footage not seen in theatrical release. Cameo by a big star at the end of the film is a big surprise.
Synopsis Terminally unemployed actor Jimmy Alto is down and out in Hollywood, California. He's a New Jersey transplant who moved to tinseltown seven years ago with dreams in his heart and stardom on his mind. But he's a surly, common man unlikely to impress anyone in the glamour-conscious capital of the world. Jimmy's oblivious to his lack of star potential and obsessed with the "old Hollywood" as he and his dim-wit side-kick William just waste time while waiting to be discovered. But when something finally does happen, Jimmy's there with his camcorder to catch it all.

Industry Reviews "...Dark and unpredictable....Pesci's edgy, abrasive performance is [welcome]..." Maslin
"...Considerable care has been lavished on Pesci's character....[He] has a fine time with the part, commanding the screen and almost hypnotizing you with his brash patter..." Los Angeles Times - Kenneth Turan (03/30/1994)
