Synopsis
When an ordinary-looking fifth grader purchases a talking toad, she embarks on a series of extraordinary adventures., When plain and unconfident fourth grader Jennifer Murdley buys a toad from a mysterious magic shop. She names the creature Bufo and is amazed to discover that it has the ability to speak. Soon Bufo is using his magic to help Jennifer get revenge against cruel classmates and even offers her the opportunity to become the most beautiful girl in the world. However, the witch who first hatched Bufo wants him back and kidnaps Jennifer's younger sibling as ransom.
