Movie Description
Meena and Meenu (both played by Mamta Kulkarni) hail from very different backgrounds: Meena is a wealthy local Indian girl, while Meenu is a visiting Londoner. Oddly, however, they look exactly the same, they share similar names, and they both use humorously aggressive tactics to capture the hearts of the men they want. Those men happen to be best friends Ravi (Ayub Khan), a famous singer, and underground fighter Vijay (Manu Bedi), who quickly fall for the girls. Meena and Ravi become a couple, as do Meenu and Vijay, but their bliss is soon disturbed by Ravi's rival singer, Monty. Monty's father is determined that his son should wed Meena, as he has his eye on her family's money, but a case of mistaken identity leads to Meenu being kidnapped, which results in tragedy. Luckily, the Robin Hood-esque Jai Kishan (Jackie Shroff) steps in, determined to extract revenge from the greedy rich. Full of catchy music, extravagant costumes, and likeable characters, this is truly Bollywood at its best.
