Reels, hornpipes, jigs, and airs are the main musical forms of traditional Celtic instrumental folk. This collection finds four of the U.K.'s finest acoustic guitarists performing solo versions of trad-folk tunes like "Carrickfergus" and "Lagan Love." Davey Graham, Dave Evans, Duck Baker, and Dan Ar Bras each get four songs to themselves, and while the playing is consistently expert throughout the album, the distinctive, individual styles of each guitarist definitely jump out at the listener.
