The king of dancehall-pop is back with his eighth solo effort, INTOXICATION. Brimming with hot dance-floor energy, INTOXICATION features a slew of tailor-made club-bangers and party jams. The title cut is a lusty ode to nightlife excess and day-after remorse, while the lead single, "Church Heathen," adds an element of depth with its commentary on religious hypocrisy. Shaggy manages to subtly beatjack Desmond Dekker's classic "007 (A Shanty Town)" on the smooth "Bonafied Girl," and guest diva Na'sha borrows her hook from the pub standard "Those Were the Days" on the infectious "Those Days." Chock full of prominent big-name collaborators (Akon, Rik Rok, Tony Gold, Rayvon, Mischieve, Sizzla, and Collie Buddz, among others), INTOXICATION is another triumph for Shaggy.
