Synopsis Holger Brandt, a celebrated violinist, takes on aspiring concert pianist Anita Hoffman as his protégée. But when they fall hopelessly in love and abandon propriety to have an illicit affair, Holger realizes that the consequences may be ruinous.
Film Notes This film was remade in the U.S. in 1939 with Ingrid Bergman and Leslie Howard.
