The latest Indiana Jones adventure once again requires readers to suspend disbelief and enter a world of twisted danger, black magic and archaeological intrigue. This time, the Princeton professor travels through the Orient, India and Egypt, circa 1934, in search of the Omega Book. Long buried under the Sphinx of Giza, it's an invaluable instrument of the occult that allows its owner to rewrite destiny. As usual, a band of villains closely trails Indy and his chums. Full of vivid subplots and ancient lore, the book reads like a rollicking history lesson. In a lengthy afterword, McCoy (Indiana Jones and the Hollow Earth) offers detailed descriptions of three archeological findings heavily featured in the story. (Feb. )
