Album Notes
Philadelphia-based rapper Amanda Blank came to the public's attention through her collaborations with Spank Rock, and her debut album doesn't stray from the creative, fun-loving, and risque material of her mentors. Blank's nimble rapping and rico-suave choruses are enhanced by sympathetic production from from Spank Rock's XXXChange, TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek, and Diplo. The sexy, tough-talking single "Might Like You Better" was a club favorite in the summer of 2009, and embodies Blank's disarming and slightly dissonant approach to hip-hop.
Industry Reviews
'Shame on Me' shows that her deadpan delivery works as well for a melody as it does for a rapped verse.
