Movie Description
All 4 original episodes of A&E's popular Horatio Hornblower adaptations are included in this collection of tales about C.S. Forester's Napoleonic war hero. Ioan Gruffudd (TITANIC) stars as Hornblower, an intellectual young midshipman who enters Her Majesty's Navy as a bullied recruit but quickly rises through the ranks to take command of his first ship. Set against the backdrop of the 18th-century Anglo-French wars, he becomes a hero of the seas. The series was filmed on location in Turkey, the Crimea, and the Black Sea from the same team who produced the Emmy-winning JANE AUSTEN'S EMMA.
