HEAT is an excellent R&B compilation, ideal listening whether you're spending quality time at home with that special someone or just cruising with friends. Ginuwine's soulful grooves on "Two Sides To A Story" begin this disc of slow jams. The smooth harmonies of Jon B's "They Don't Know" deservedly made it a radio smash. Uncle Sam's "Underneath The Sheets" is machismo personified, while Cam'Ron's D.I.P. adds some hip hop flava. Fundisha, an R&B songstress on the rise, croons "Smile". Charli Baltimore is as cool as her name, droppin' Missy Elliott-like rhymes in "Everybody Wanna Know". On "I've Committed Murder," Macy Gray's raspy raps flow over samples from "Theme From Love Story." Jim Crow's "Low, Low" is a mellow but mighty party sing-along. If you're looking for a premium R&B/hip hop compilation, look no further.
