Album Notes Solo performer: David Lanz (piano). Recorded at Kaye-Smith Productions, Seattle, Washington in June 1983. This 1983 album from David Lanz finds him brimming with youthful energy, particularly on the early tracks, where he positively surges with romantic melodies but is in no mood to linger or brood for long. The opener, "Valencia," is insistent, while the following track, "Homecoming," with its marriage of pathos and urgency, is reminiscent of George Winston's middle period. The album winds down with a trilogy of celestially-oriented songs: "Star Gazer," "Dream Field," and the delicate "Day Star."
