Apparently, it's not enough to be the former co-star of NAME THAT TUNE and LIVE WITH REGIS AND KATHIE LEE. No, Kathie Lee Gifford has a lot of living to do and worlds to conquer--hence, this thoroughly mainstream pop album. Gifford can sing, in a wedding band-ish sort of way, and here offers tasteful renditions of lush production ballads a la Vanessa Williams. "Love Never Fails," a pleasant piece of dance pop, suggests a grown-up Britney Spears, while the faux country rocker "Heartache" sounds like the Dixie Chicks, had they grown up in Brooklyn.
