Synopsis
Lonely after moving to a new town, a boy named Pete finds comfort through helping a woman who runs a rehabilitation center for injured birds of prey. Pete forms a special bond with a hawk he names Maloney, although he knows that he shouldn't because, when they are healed, all the birds are returned to the wild. Will Pete be able to bear it when it's time for Maloney to be set free? Illustrated with watercolor paintings., Pete moves to a new town and discovers a rehabilitation center for birds of prey.
