For HANNAH MONTANA HITS REMIXED, Disney doesn't bring in a slate of remixers to try their hands at the teen pop diva's hits; they stick to the vision of one wily veteran DJ. Chris Cox has worked extensively with the cream of the pop world, from Christina Aguilera to Hillary Duff, and creates an ever-changing landscape for the Miley Cyrus-voiced character. He gives "We Got the Party," a lush, borderline dub, reggae beat; "Nobody's Perfect" gets a spare R&B treatment; and "If We Were a Movie" is cast somewhere between `80s dance and `90s alternative. The lone-DJ treatment lends an evenness to the project as Cox breathes excitement into fan-familiar songs.
