Album Notes
Continuing without John (aka Juan) MacLean, J. Ryan and Rick Pelletier reunited in 2009 with new recruits for the re-recording and release of 2001's shelved LP, HALF CONTROL. Actually, the noisy, Moog-driven post-punk on display here represents a logical continuation of the sound Six Finger Satellite aborted after 1998's LAW OF RUINS. (The movement they were a part of ultimately splintered into purely electronic dabbling during the intervening years.) Strangely enough, there's a certain sentimental value to the old aggression the band recaptures on choppy, chunky beat poetry like the title track. And taken as a belated goodbye, CONTROL nicely rounds out SFS's overlooked discography.
