In "The Drowned," a young man discovers on of his ancestors has made a pact with the devil -- and he's getting caught up in it. A journalist investigates a series of killings in "The Cold"; when he meets a woman whose mother was the victim of a crazy scientist, he's getting close to a solution, but will he live to tell the truth. And in "Whispers" a terrible fate befalls a policewoman.
