Synopsis
This sequel takes up at the trial of the child abductor who was captured in the novel "Night Sins." The protagonist is Ellen North, prosecutor for the case and a recent arrival from the Twin Cities. Her situation is complicated by the fact that the defense attorney, Tony Costello, is her former lover. Furthermore, she has a growing attraction to the "true-crime" novelist who is working on a book about the case.
