Issued in 2007, GREATEST HITS shares a number of tracks with the Newsboys' previous singles collection, SHINE THE HITS, including the funky "Take Me to Your Leader," the breezy "Spirit Thing," and other early songs by the venerable Australian Christian pop act. This updated HITS compilation, however, also presents the band's bolder 21st-century sound, particularly on the techno-tinged "Something Beautiful" and the guitar-driven "In Wonder," making it an excellent Newsboys overview for fans and newcomers alike.
