Album Notes Warning: The album title doesn't refer to the popular Muppets' character. Instead, this is a well-chosen best-of culled from the albums Walker recorded between 1972 and 1977. It serves as a very nice snapshot of the so-called Outlaw country movement (or progressive country or redneck rock or whatever you want to call it) that coalesced in Texas during that time. More interestingly, the album also shows what a terrific ear Walker had for picking gems by other, sometimes lesser known, songwriters. He does terrific covers of Willie Nelson's anthemic "Pick Up the Tempo," Guy Clark's "L.A. Freeway," and the definitive gonzo singalong, Ray Wiley Hubbard's "Up Against the Wall Redneck."
