Synopsis Jeanette, a recent divorcée, decides to immerse herself in a novel she is writing about the platonic relationship between the 19th century German pianist Clara Schumann and the great composer Johannes Brahms. But reality soon begins to imitate fiction when Jeanette meets a German named Hart and strikes up a friendship with him and his daughter, who is a talented student of music. However, unlike Clara and Johannes, whose story is told alongside the contemporary action, Jeanette and Hart eventually find that they may be fated to be more than just friends.
