Movie Description
Gary Cooper fills the screen with his generosity in this lighthearted comedy about a good Samaritan whose good deeds seldom go unpunished. Virtuous and helpful in all instances, Sam puts himself and his family in hot water again and again as he tries to right the wrongs of the world. Sam's wife's (Ann Sheridan) personal virtue is her patience with her incurably optimistic husband--until finally things go too far.
Ann Sheridan, whose glowing beauty made her a popular pinup girl, took audiences by storm the year after GOOD SAM in the comedy I WAS A MALE WAR BRIDE with Cary Grant, while Cooper turned serious as architect Roarke in Ayn Rand's THE FOUNTAINHEAD.
Synopsis
