Movie Description
This ground-breaking animated television series made its first appearance in the mid-sixties, giving America one of its first looks at the captivating style of Japanse animation. The first of many friendly giant robots, "Gigantor" featured a new and distinctive look filled with a cinematic sensibility and unusual camera angles that captivated his audience. Controlled via remote control by Jimmy Sparks, the son of the man who created Gigantor, Jimmy sent the huge fighting machine into battle, defending the Earth against a never-ending assault by hostile aliens and enemy robots. This collection of the first 26 black and white episodes were remastered and supervised by creator Fred Ladd.
