With Swizz Beatz boasting a background as a celebrated producer/songwriter/remixer/DJ whose credits include membership in the Ruff Ryders crew, it's no surprise how many famous friends popped by to appear on his debut SWIZZ BEATZ PRESENTS G.H.E.T.T.O. Much like his work with others that eschewed the use of samples in place of original party-ready beats, Swizz keeps this winning formula intact whether he's pumping strings to give the title cut an operatic feel or the ominous blaxploitation groove permeating "Guilty," a duet with dancehall superstar Bounty Killer. Such is Swizz's pull that he's got Metallica and Ja Rule tearing it up on the thunderous "We Did It Again," Nas and Fat Joe tossing in their two cents on the "Salute Me" remix, and Ron Isley lending his dulcet tones to the smooth Jadakiss workout "Big Business." Other notable names include upcoming R&B thrush Mashonda teasing LL Cool J in the sensual "Ghetto Love" as well as holding her own against Shyne in a track of the same name that ended up being the last recording he worked on before being sent off to prison. SWIZZ BEATZ PRESENTS G.H.E.T.T.O. is that rare combination of an extensive Rolodex meeting an exemplary talent.
