Synopsis
Petty criminal Bill Roberts has been collecting his dead mother's social security checks--while her corpse lies in the bedroom--but can't forge her signature well enough to cash them. Hooking up with two loser friends, he plans a robbery that, quite naturally, gets horribly bungled, leaving Roberts to escape into a swamp on foot. When he emerges the next day, his face has so many insect bites that, when a third-string travelling freak show rolls past, it seems a perfect place to hide out. Roberts, though, can't leave well enough alone, and winds up embroiled in another scheme that has a violent and twisted love triangle at its heart.
