Movie Description Includes both of the classic FLY movies. In the original THE FLY, a scientist experimenting with teleportation accidentally exchanges his head with that of a housefly. in RETURN OF THE FLY the scientist's son, years later, replicates his father's experiments a little too closely. A pair of sci-fi/ horror classics that spawned a remake in the 1980s.
Synopsis "The Fly [1958]": A classic science-fiction/horror film about a scientist's two "teleport" machines, one of which dissolves atoms, while the other reconstructs them. When the scientist unwittingly shares the machine with a common fly, he turns into a hideous hybrid of man and insect -- and begins to exhibit the characteristics of a housefly. The scientist wants to reverse the process, but first he must catch that fly...
"The Return of the Fly": Sequel to 1958's "The Fly." Here, the son of the man who invented the "teleport" machines continues his father's endeavors to perfect them. But just like his dad, the young man shares the contraption with a common housefly, and is transformed into the same insect/man hybrid as his father. But will the son, unlike the father, succeed in reversing the process?
