Movie Description A look into the life of Henry James, author of such works as "Daisy Miller," "The Portrait of a Lady," and "The Turn of the Screw," and his pioneering style of limited point-of-view in literature.
Synopsis "Famous Authors" examines the men and women behind the words that brought them literary kudos.
In "Henry James," viewers learn how the novelist, short story writer and critic created a mammoth body of work. He penned the following novels, among others: "Daisy Miller," "The Turn of the Screw," "The Bostonians," and "The Portrait of a Lady."
James wrote about a variety of subjects, but some -- such as the dynamic between innocence and experience, and the cultural differences betwixt Americans and Europeans -- appeared again and again.
